As a non-bonded tour operator, King of the Mountains do not offer travel included in the cost of their holidays. However, we can advise you as to what is easiest and cheapest.

RECOMMENDED AIRLINES & DESTINATIONS:

The nearest airport to the King of the Mountains chalet is Grenoble (Isere), which takes around 1hr 20mins in average traffic conditions.

The best information on flights is available at source from individual carriers, so please check there first.

Grenoble (St Geoirs) airport is served by Ryanair, who run a daily summer service between London Stansted and Grenoble (Isere), (Ryanair sometimes call this airport Grenoble-Lyon; which can be a bit confusing!) leaving London Stansted around 10:00, arriving around 13:00 . The return service leaves Grenoble around 13:00, arriving in Stansted around 14:00. The schedule changes very slightly from week to week.

Lyon (Saint Exupéry, sometimes known as Lyon Satolas) airport is served by British Airways from London Heathrow (several flights each day), as well as Birmingham, Edinburgh and Manchester. Easyjet also fly to Lyon.

OTHER AIRPORTS

Geneva airport is served by Easyjet , but is a long transfer from the chalet (typically 2hr 30 mins to 3 hours). Chambery is close (around 1hr 30 mins, but more likely to offer suitable flights in winter). Geneva airport would be a good option for those wishing to self drive, but it might be difficult for us to arrange transfers from Geneva, particularly if guests are also arriving at other airports on the same day.

NB: Please let us know the details of flights you are considering booking when you book your holiday so that we can best co-ordinate transfers and not have anyone sitting around waiting at airports for too long!
